The Scoop...

Since it's taking so long for the internet porn to stream, I thought I'd post something since it's been so long. Thanks to Josh and Chad for thier new podcast titled Rico and Chico Uncensored check it out. It's funny shit. And don't forget to check out the Always Picked Last podcast, new episodes going up weekly. At least we try to do it weekly. But onto sports related topics, since it has been about a month or so since I've wrote anything.

The Brewers have been starting some of the young guys to see how they will fare in the bigs. I like this move and I only wish it had come a couple of weeks earlier. Gamel got to start a couple of games before being sent back to have toe surgery. That's too bad for Mat, everytime he gets a chance to show what he has, he ends up hurt. They are saying he has had problems all season, but it was time to fix it. As much as I hate to say it, I don't see Mat on the Brewers next season. I think he'll be trade bait, and if he gets a solid pitcher in return I'm all for it. Prince is most likely to be traded as Braun admitted to in an interview and some of the "insiders" are saying we will get a minimal return for him. They are probably right, and that's why we would be smart to package up Gamel or Gomez with the big man to get back a bigger return. We desperatly need the pitching, although I've been impressed with our younger guys. Mark Rogers not Rodgers, is pitching well in his first trip to Milwaukee. Two perfect relief appearances and a decent start last Friday gives me hope for his future. His first inning was rough but he settled down a bit to pitch a good second and third inning. Jeffress looks alright so far too, if he can keep on the straight and narrow. That is the saying right? Not sure, either way, congrats to him. Some other guys to watch for: everybody who's been called up. They are the future, and we have to look ahead because right now, it's miserable. Although we must be floating around .500 since the break, so even though we have been winning some games, it's not as fun when you know we're out of it. But now I'm just preaching to the choir.

Saw a tweet that mentioned how all the Brewers fan blogs have been dead since we've been knocked out of it. Sorry, but we've been slow since the first quarter of the season finished. We have since switched over and focused on the podcasting side of things. Why you may ask? Well it's simple, talking is much more fun than typing and easier tell jokes verbally than it is to type them. Besides, our best writers stopped writing for us a while ago (Joe, Tyler, Bryan). Joe is busy doing God only knows what (banging his wife, I hope) Tyler is busy with work and trying to finish college and Bryan hasn't had an internet connection in years. Not to knock Rico's Rant but nothing will ever compare to the Rick Weeks/Mickey Rourke article Joe put up on the old site. So there you have it, I'll post articles from time to time, but it'll mostly be focused on the podcasting side of things from here on out, as you probably already noticed. Rico may continue to send in stuff but who knows, they are usually pretty good when they come in. I'm going to say thank you to the sites that have linked up to us in the past, you drove some people over here and we are grateful for that. RightFieldBleachers.com (which is on the list of dead Brewers blogs) and BrewCrewBall.com (which I don't see ever dying). So keep listening to the podcasts, they have gotten increasingly better as time has gone on. Since the first episode was posted we have had about 2700 downloads. Not too shabby for a couple of small town fools. Again, please check out our comedy podcasts too, Always Picked Last & Rico and Chico Uncensored. Both are just as entertaining as the BrewCrew365 podcasts, which we hope to start recording more regularly. So until the next post, keep cheering on the Crew and don't forget to watch the Pack and Badgers, they will keep your mind at ease until baseball starts up again.

Thanks again.
Ronald
